The Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) is a prominent non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of the Buddhist community in Ladakh and beyond. With a strong focus on education, the LBA operates two esteemed institutions: Riglam School Leh and Lamdon Jamyang School Khalsi. These schools provide quality education to the children from underprivileged families,  shaping the future of Ladakh's young minds.

Beyond education, the LBA actively promotes cultural preservation and community development through various initiatives. These include organizing significant events like Buddha Jayanti celebrations, His Holiness the Dalai Lama's birthday, and Losar festivities. The organization also hosts seminars on socio-religious issues, religious teachings, and cultural events, fostering unity and social welfare.

The LBA's efforts are supported by a diverse range of donors, including:

  • Generous individuals and organizations who donate during His Holiness the Dalai Lama's teachings and other Rinpoche's teachings
  • Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) like ONGC and nationalized banks, which contribute through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives
  •  NGOs and foreign individuals and organizations, which provide support for the LBA's educational institutions and other initiatives
  • Monasteries across Ladakh, which contribute to promoting Buddha's teachings

These resources enable the LBA to carry out its multifaceted activities, prioritizing education while also promoting cultural preservation, community growth, and social welfare. By mobilizing resources from various sources, the LBA continues to make a positive impact in the lives of the Buddhist community in Ladakh and beyond.
