Extend financial support to poor patients suffering from chronic diseases like heart ailments, hepatitis B, HIV, cancer etc needing specialized treatment , facilities of which are not available in Ladakh and therefore such patients are forced to go to places like Delhi and expenses are beyond their means and often such patients succumb to their illness. There are also a number of mentally disturbed persons who suffer from depression leading to suicide cases. Such persons need counseling and rehabilitation. LBA is trying to provide assistance to them in whatever way possible with its resources but much is needed to be done on this account with support from others and in collaboration with them.
