Women Development Projects
- Training Centre/ Meeting Hall budget (90 Lacs) sanctioned by Chief Executive Councilor under Rural Development Scheme. The lack of such facility hinders the Buddhist Women from conducting mass meetings and holding training sessions for self-employment, skill development, community trainings etc. the project is planned to be completed by EOY 2025
- The completion of the above-mentioned project would also help generate income for the LBA Women’s Wing, as it can be rented for professional gatherings.
- We were a part of various of seminars conducted on social inclusion, gender equality, especially abled children, stress in children etc. by department of Social Welfare. Thus, we will be carrying forward the message to the grassroots.
- We are happy to announce that we have set the marriage expenses uniform for every family in Leh, thereby taking a step towards bridging the poor-rich gap in the society and also helping the system of dowry (very prominent to various societies in India outside Ladakh) stay at bay. This will also help the future generation respect the system of community marriages, which is less expensive and uniform for every marriage in the society.
- Various other projects are under planning. Some of them are:
Conducting seminars on women leadership, role of moral education in modern times, skill development for self-employment, creation of a brand and sustainable market plan for self-help groups, marketing and packaging training: homemade products: individual or umbrella brand.
