The Women wing of the LBA mobilizes other village women folk and encourages them to advocate / campaign to curb and eradicate various social evils prevailing in the society which directly or indirectly affects their lives and the members of their family. They also encourage women to maintain and promote the traditional systems and practices in the villages. Ladakh has been following a unique system of interdependence with cohesive relationships among each other in the whole village in all activities may it be agricultural, religious events, family events or village events. Everyone contributes and participates in solidarity in all such events with a pure intent to help each other which ultimately minimizes problems of small and marginal families who do not own much resources that they could address all such activities themselves independently. Over the years such practices are losing their significance and women's groups are reviving these systems and practices.
