Youth Welfare Projects

Youth welfare projects are assigned to its Youth Wing which is represented by all Buddhist youths of Ladakh as members and collectively supplements the activities of the LBA organization. The youth wing has its auxiliary units at the outreach level representing a cluster of villages and thus covering the entire population of Ladakh. The Youth Wing in collaboration with the sub units strives to address the issues related to all critical areas affecting the lives of the people particularly the youths. Its primary aim is to work for the welfare and development of the youths in particular and the impoverished communities in general. LBAY strives to inculcate values and wisdom to the contemporary youths through propagation of the Buddha’s teachings and promote understanding of Buddhism so as to transform them into a dignified individual and lead a life with esteem and respect. Youths possess the capacity for positive transformation of a society but if not nurtured in the right direction, it could turn otherwise and hence the youth wing has an enormous responsibility to make society vibrant and holistic in order to prevail brotherhood, peace and tranquility among the people from different faiths in the region.
